Ecological Research Analyst Did you know some people love being out in nature as much as working from home? You may find them in careers like an ecological research analyst or something to the same effect. Allow me to tell you about the time I worked as a research analyst for a study on urban ecology in New York City. An ecological research analyst does daily field research. They also analyze data and promote environmental awareness. Unlike a typical analyst role glued to a computer, this job requires physical effort. I collected live samples from natural environments and wild animals across the city. I spent half of the work day in the marshes of the Hudson River. My job was to get samples of the water, soil, live organisms, plant matter, and other organic materials. WHO YOU ARE MATTERS

Hi everyone! My name is Lauryn Tham and I was born just outside of Chicago, Illinois. My childhood resembled a traditional Chinese-American upbringing, filled with wonderful memories alongside my parents and little sister. In my deepest memories, I remember hot summers and snowy winters, notorious for the unpredictable Midwest weather. In 2015, we made a big move across the country to the sunny Torrance, California -- where I attended high school and community college. Later on, I decided to transfer to USC, with my little sister, where I would complete my Bachelor's and Master’s degrees. I believe that my origins tie fittingly with where I intend to go in life: as many places as possible. Career-wise, I intend to work as a healthcare consultant or in the finance department for a Pharma company for a couple of years to gain corporate experience. Depending on where my evolving interests take me -- I may apply for dental school because I have always had a passion for healthcare. Alon...
